Art Wolfe is well known for his photographs of
wildlife and nature, and his advocacy of wildlife conservation.
I first became aware of Wolfe through his features in National
Geographic. Wolfe's approach to nature photography combines
photojournalism and fine art photography. His official biography
states that his goal is to win support for conservation issues
by “focusing on what’s beautiful on the Earth.” He has taken
more than one million photos in hs 30 year career and has
released over sixty books. Even the U.S. Postal Service has used
Wolfe's photographs on two stamps.
